A metagenomics-derived protein families resource
This site provides a lightweight interface for exploring MGnifams, metagenomics-derived protein families built from MGnify protein data.
The MGnifams pipeline and the MGnifams site development are led by Evangelos Karatzas, a bioinformatics researcher and Research Fellow at EMBL-EBI working with the MGnify team on MGnifams. His work focuses on bioinformatics web tools and scalable Nextflow/nf-core workflows for generating and annotating metagenomics-derived protein families.
This work is supported through the ARISE H2020 programme, grant agreement 101033864. ARISE supports skills, recognition, and digital approaches for sustainable energy, and provides the funding route for this MGnifams work.
